Breast cancer hurts not only the sufferer, but her family, friends and everyone whose life she touches. I can’t pretend to know everything those families endure, but my brother and I lost our father to stomach cancer in 2001, so we do understand the pain of cancer and pray daily for a cure.
Nancy Woodrich, founder of thinkpinkcollection, whom I have gotten to know very well over the past 4 years, knows firsthand the pain of breast cancer. Her family and many of her friends have been affected by breast cancer. Nancy has been a committed volunteer, and through her fundraiser efforts has raised funds for the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Awareness Association (BCAA), and other local and national charitable organizations.
Nancy's desire to raise funds for research in Breast Cancer was her driving force that encouraged me to design jewelry for the cause.
After 3 years everyone at Wedding Day Diamonds decided we could do our part to make a small dent in the cause of finding a cure for breast cancer. Our goal was to create a gorgeous line that would help the wearer proudly support the cause, and give honor to the thousands of survivors.
We approached one of our manufacturers to help us design a collection, which would reflect all ages and demographics. Gabriel & Company partnered with Wedding Day Diamonds to develop the first line of Breast Cancer Fine Jewelry in USA. Needless to say we are proud of the thinkpinkjewelry line.
